Example setup: Plumbing

Who it’s for: a plumbing contractor tracking fixtures, tests and shutoffs.

What they want to know: which fixtures are set, which tests have passed, and where the shutoffs are.

Use this as a starting list, and change whatever doesn’t fit.

  • Fixtures by type and stage
  • Pressure tests by result
  • Tests past due
  • Shutoffs by what they serve
Field Field type Fixture Pressure test Shutoff Why
Mark Text Yes Yes Yes What lists and search call a point. The Name on every card type
Fixture stage Status: Rough-in, Set, Tested Yes Shows progress
Fixture type Select: Sink, Toilet, Shower, Floor drain Yes The report groups by it
Result Status: Not tested, Pass, Fail Yes The report groups by it
Test by Date, Past dates turn red Yes Late tests stand out on the plan
Serves Status: Domestic water, Gas, Fire Yes Color tells you the system at a glance
Normally Dropdown: Open, Closed Yes Useful on the card, not on the plan
Photos Photos Yes Yes Yes Shows the work; nothing to count
Card type Color Inside Ring Also
Fixture Fixture stage Fixture type Nothing Mark as a Label
Pressure test Result Nothing Nothing Test by as a Label
Shutoff Serves Nothing Nothing Mark as Text underneath

A shutoff’s color means the system, while a fixture’s means its stage. Each card type sets its own, so a legend for your crew helps here.

  • A template per fixture type, with Fixture type filled in

Once points are going in, you can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Grok Bot things like:

  • “Which pressure tests are past due?”
  • “Show me every failed test, with its date.”
  • “Where are the gas shutoffs on Level 1?”

Want a different setup? Tell Claude, ChatGPT or Grok Bot what your company does and ask it to adjust this one.
