A choice’s color, initials and icon belong to the field, so they’re the same on every card type. A Select’s or Tags field’s colored choices need Choices have colors on.

  1. Color. The first shown line, in card order, with Color on and a picked choice that has a color sets it. If there’s none, the card type’s Color is used.
  2. Initials or icon. The first shown line, in card order, with it on and an answer that gives one sets it. If there’s none, the card type’s is used. A point shows initials or an icon, never both.
  3. Ring. The first shown line set to Ring holds it, with or without an answer. Later lines set to Ring draw nothing.
  4. Ring with Color. On a line with Color on, Ring is grayed out. Different lines can do one each.
  5. Highlight. A card type holds one, from a Flag or a Select, so a second is grayed out, with the reason. A point glows when its line’s Flag is on, or a ticked choice is picked, except while a filter is on: then only matches glow.
  6. Corner flags. Any number can be set. Each one that’s on adds a disc, in card order. Corner marks sit beside them.
  7. Text underneath. The first shown line set to it holds the place, with or without an answer. A later one draws as a Label.
  8. Labels. Any number can be set, drawn in card order. The card’s Name comes first, if it’s a Label. Long ones get cut short, and those that don’t fit in three rows are left off.
  9. One-pick Select. It can hold one of Ring, Highlight or Corner flag, and one of Label or Text underneath, as well as Color and Initials or icon. Every other field type holds one place.
  10. Ticking choices. A Select on Corner flag or Highlight shows only for ticked choices. With nothing ticked it draws nothing. A Ring doesn’t use ticks: it shows for every pick that has a ring color.
  11. Multi-select. Turning it on makes a Select’s Corner flag or Highlight read as a Label, and takes away its In the point switches. Turning it off brings them back, but you can’t turn it off while a point holds two picks, and a Highlight comes back as a Label if the card type has another by then.
  12. Hidden lines, and lines with Show on the plan off, draw nothing. Hidden answers still count in reports.
  13. Adding a field to a card type. It starts as it was last set on another card type, shown. If that would make a second Highlight, it starts as a Label.
Thing Limit
Highlight per card type One
Ring drawn per point One
Text underneath per point One
Labels drawn per point Three rows; the rest are left off
Title bar flag buttons Three; Flag fields shown as a Corner flag or Highlight
Initials Three letters or numbers
A card type’s Name One; a one-line Text, Number, Currency or one-pick Select
Corner flags, label fields, Select fields, Icon fields on a card type No limit, though a crowded point is hard to read
  • Flagged only counts Corner flags, from a Flag or a Select. Highlighted only counts Highlights the same way.
  • A running filter puts a yellow glow on the points it matches, and a report on the plan does the same.
  • What a point shows doesn’t change what reports count. Reports read the answers, whether or not they’re drawn.
