Example setup: Drywall and paint

Who it’s for: a finishing contractor working through punch lists, room by room.

What they want to know: what’s left in each room, what’s late, and proof of damage they didn’t cause.

Use this as a starting list, and change whatever doesn’t fit.

  • Open punch items by type and page
  • Punch items past due
  • Existing damage by page
Field Field type Punch item Existing condition Why
Mark Text Yes Yes What lists and search call a point. The Name on every card type
Fix status Status: Open, Fixed, Closed Yes Shared across punch items; the report groups by it
Fix type Select: Patch, Sand, Prime, Paint Yes The report groups by it
Due Date, Past dates turn red Yes Late items stand out
Room Text Yes Yes Read off the plan
Found on Date Yes Records when you first saw it
Photos Photos Yes Yes Shows the work; nothing to count
Card type Color Inside Ring Also
Punch item Fix status Fix type Nothing Due as a Label
Existing condition The card type’s pink, with its icon The card type’s icon Nothing Found on as a Label

Existing conditions need no status. They’re a dated record with photos, and the fixed color keeps them apart from your own work.

  • A Punch item template per common fix, with Fix type filled in

Once points are going in, you can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Grok Bot things like:

  • “What’s still open in the east wing?”
  • “Which punch items are past due?”
  • “Show me the damage we recorded before we started on Level 2.”

Want a different setup? Tell Claude, ChatGPT or Grok Bot what your company does and ask it to adjust this one.
